Filmic Gaze collects as little personal information as it reasonably can. It does not sell personal information, use it for advertising or marketing, or build profiles from it. Information is used only to operate the part of the site you choose to use, to keep the site secure, or where required by law.
Comments
When you leave a comment, the site stores the information shown in the comment form: your name, email address, optional website and comment. It also stores your IP address and browser information to help detect spam and administer the discussion.
Your name, comment and optional website link are public. Your email address, IP address and browser information are not published. Antispam Bee checks comments automatically; suspected spam is kept separately for review. Comment notifications are sent privately to the site owner by email.
Cookies
If you select “Remember my details for next time” when commenting, WordPress saves your name, email address and website in cookies for one year so you do not need to enter them again. Essential technical cookies may also be used to operate and administer the site.
If you email Filmic Gaze, your address and message are used to read and respond to your correspondence. They are not added to a mailing list.
Hosting and service providers
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Routine server logs may include an IP address, browser information, requested pages and the time of a request; these logs are used to operate and secure the site. Email is handled through Google. These providers process information only as needed to supply their services.
The site currently uses no audience analytics and carries no advertising trackers.
Embedded and linked content
Articles may include or link to material on other websites. Embedded material can allow its source website to receive information about your visit, just as it would if you visited that website directly. Following an external link takes you to that site and its own privacy practices.
Retention and your choices
Published comments and their associated information are normally retained while they remain part of the discussion or are needed for spam prevention, security or administration. Email is retained as needed for correspondence.
You may ask what personal information the site holds about you, or request its correction or removal. Information may still be retained where necessary for administrative, security or legal reasons.
